Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 8, 2026

Elite Mind is a mental-training program for young athletes, delivered through an app that parents and guardians use with their children. This policy explains what information we collect when you use the Elite Mind mobile app (iOS and Android) and our website at elitemindproject.com, why we collect it, who we share it with, and the choices and rights you have.

We've tried to write it in plain language. If anything is unclear, email us at payam@elitemindproject.com.

At a glance

  • Accounts are for parents. Children listen to sessions with you, but they don't create accounts or give us information.
  • The only information about your child is an optional first name that you can choose to enter, and change or remove at any time.
  • We don't show ads, sell your information, or track you across other apps and websites.
  • Payments are handled by Apple and Google. We never see your card details.
  • You can delete your account from inside the app at any time.

1. Who we are

The Elite Mind app and website are operated by Elite Mind Project, 10583 Dunleer Dr, Los Angeles, CA 90064-4317, United States ("Elite Mind", "we", "us" or "our"). We are the controller responsible for your personal information.

2. Information we collect

Information you give us

  • Account details. Your email address and a password when you sign up with email. Your password is stored only in encrypted (hashed) form by our sign-in provider. We can never see it.
  • Profile. Your name and your child's first name, if you choose to add them. Both are optional, and you can change or clear them in the app's Profile screen.
  • Reminder preferences. Which reminders you want (new weekly sessions, progress updates, celebrations, and a nudge after a few days without listening).
  • Waitlist sign-ups. If you join the waitlist on our website, your email address and the date you signed up.
  • Messages to us. Anything you send when you email us, such as a support or privacy request.

Information from Apple and Google sign-in

If you sign in with Apple or Google, we receive information from that provider to create and secure your account:

  • Sign in with Apple: your email address, which may be a private relay address if you choose to hide your email. Apple may also share your name, but we don't store it.
  • Sign in with Google: your email address, your name and your profile photo link. We use your Google name as your profile name, and you can change it.

Information collected as you use the app

  • Program progress. Which sessions you've played, finished or replayed, where you stopped listening (so you can pick up where you left off), and when. This is saved to your account so your progress follows you across devices.
  • Device and app information. Your device model, operating system and version, app version, language and time zone, and the IP address your device connects from.
  • Approximate location. Our analytics provider estimates a rough location (such as country and city) from your IP address. We don't request or collect your device's precise location.
  • App usage (analytics). In the released app, which screens you view and when the app is opened, closed, installed or updated, linked to your account. We use this to understand how the program is used and to improve it.
  • Crash and error reports. If the app crashes or something goes wrong, technical details about the error, the steps in the app that led up to it, and your device and app version. We don't attach your name, email or account ID to crash reports.
  • Push notification token. If you allow notifications, a token that lets us send reminders to your device.

Purchases

Elite Mind programs are one-time purchases made through the Apple App Store or Google Play. Apple and Google handle payment, and we never receive your card or bank details. Through our purchase provider, RevenueCat, we receive a record of what you bought: the product, transaction and store identifiers, purchase date, price and your store's country. We use this to unlock your program and let you restore purchases.

On our website

Our website doesn't use analytics, advertising or tracking cookies. When you visit, our hosting provider automatically logs basic technical information, such as your IP address, browser type and the pages requested, to deliver the site and keep it secure. If you join the waitlist, we collect your email address as described above.

Stored only on your device

Some information never leaves your phone. The app keeps your sign-in session (encrypted, with the key held in your device's secure keychain), the sport you've chosen, how far you got through onboarding, and which tips you've dismissed. This information stays on your device until you delete the app.

3. How we use your information

We use your information only for the purposes below. If you're in the European Economic Area (EEA) or the UK, the legal basis for each purpose is shown in italics.

  • To provide the program. Creating and securing your account, saving your progress, playing sessions, unlocking purchases and restoring them on a new device. Legal basis: performance of our contract with you.
  • To send account emails. Confirming your email address and resetting your password. Legal basis: performance of our contract with you.
  • To send reminders. Push notifications you've allowed, matched to the reminder settings you've chosen. Legal basis: your consent, which you can withdraw at any time in the app or in your device settings.
  • To understand and improve the app. Analytics about how the app is used, and crash reports to find and fix problems. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in offering a reliable, useful program. We've limited this to what we need and don't use it for advertising.
  • To keep the service safe. Preventing fraud and abuse, and protecting our users and systems. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in security.
  • To tell you when we launch. Emailing people who joined the waitlist. Legal basis: your consent.
  • To meet legal obligations. Keeping purchase records for tax and accounting, and responding to lawful requests. Legal basis: legal obligation.

We don't make decisions about you based solely on automated processing that have legal or similarly significant effects.

4. Children's privacy

Elite Mind is designed for parents and guardians to use with their children. Accounts must be created by a parent or legal guardian aged 18 or over, and the app is meant to be used by you, alongside your child.

  • Children don't create accounts, and we don't knowingly collect personal information directly from children.
  • The only information about your child is the first name you can choose to enter, which personalizes the program. It's optional, and you can change or remove it at any time in the app's Profile screen.
  • We don't ask for your child's age, date of birth, photo, voice or location.
  • Listening progress is recorded in your account, not as a profile of your child.

If you believe a child has given us personal information directly, for example by creating an account, please contact us at payam@elitemindproject.com and we'll delete it. This applies to children under 13 in the US and under the age of digital consent in the EEA and UK (16, or lower where local law sets it).

5. Who we share information with

We don't sell your personal information, and we don't share it with anyone for advertising. We share it only with service providers that help us run Elite Mind, under contracts that require them to protect it and use it only to provide their services to us:

  • Supabase — sign-in, our database and audio storage. Holds your account, profile, preferences and progress. (United States)
  • RevenueCat — managing in-app purchases. Receives your account ID and purchase records. (United States)
  • OneSignal — delivering push notifications. Receives your account ID, push token and basic device information. Location collection is turned off. (United States)
  • PostHog — product analytics. Receives your account ID, your email address, app usage events, device information and IP address. Used only in the released app. (United States)
  • Sentry — crash and error reporting. Receives technical error details and device information, without your account ID or email. (European Union, Germany)
  • Expo — delivering app updates. Receives your device platform, app version and IP address when the app checks for an update. (United States)
  • Vercel — hosting our website. Processes standard web request logs. (United States)
  • Apple and Google — Sign in with Apple and Google Sign-In, App Store and Google Play payments, and delivering push notifications to your device. The app also periodically contacts a Google server to check whether your device is online, which shares your IP address with Google. Apple's and Google's own privacy policies apply to the services they provide to you directly.

We may also disclose information:

  • If the law requires it, such as in response to a valid court order, or where needed to protect the rights, safety or property of our users, the public or Elite Mind.
  • In a business transfer, such as a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, in which case your information would remain protected by this policy or one at least as protective, and we'll tell you before it becomes subject to a different policy.
  • With your permission, in any other case.

6. Advertising, tracking and cookies

  • There are no ads in Elite Mind.
  • We don't track you across other companies' apps or websites, we don't use your device's advertising identifier, and we don't share your information with data brokers.
  • Our website doesn't set analytics or advertising cookies. The staff-only admin area of the website stores a sign-in session in your browser for authorized staff.
  • Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control: because our website doesn't track visitors, there's nothing for these signals to turn off. We honor Global Privacy Control as a request to opt out of sale or sharing, which we don't do anyway.

7. Where your information is stored

Our main database is hosted in the United States, and most of our service providers are based there. Crash reports are stored in the European Union. If you're in the EEA, UK or Switzerland, your information is transferred to the United States. We protect those transfers with the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses and the UK International Data Transfer Addendum, or rely on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework (and its UK and Swiss extensions) where a provider is certified under it. You can ask us for a copy of the relevant safeguards.

8. How long we keep information

  • Account, profile, preferences and progress: for as long as you have an account. They're deleted when you delete your account. Copies in our encrypted backups are overwritten within about 30 days.
  • Waitlist emails: until we've let you know the app is available, or until you ask us to remove yours, whichever comes first.
  • Analytics data: up to 24 months, then deleted or made anonymous.
  • Crash reports: about 90 days.
  • Push notification records: until you ask us to delete them. The token on your device stops working when you turn off notifications or delete the app.
  • Purchase records: for as long as needed to let you restore your purchases and to meet tax and accounting requirements.
  • Server and hosting logs: for short periods set by our providers, typically no more than a few weeks.
  • Emails you send us: for as long as needed to deal with your request, and then for up to 2 years in case of follow-up questions.

9. Deleting your account and other choices

Deleting your account. You can delete your account at any time in the app: go to Profile → Account → Delete account. This immediately and permanently deletes your account, your profile (including your child's name), your reminder preferences and your listening progress from our database. It can't be undone. Deleting the app from your phone does not delete your account.

A few records are held by our service providers rather than in our database, and aren't removed automatically when you delete your account: analytics data (PostHog), push notification records (OneSignal), purchase records (RevenueCat), and any waitlist entry for your email. Email payam@elitemindproject.com from the address on your account and we'll have them deleted within 30 days. Records that Apple and Google keep about your purchases are governed by their own policies.

Other choices:

  • Profile: edit or clear your name and your child's name in the Profile screen.
  • Reminders: turn individual reminders on or off in the app, or turn off all notifications for Elite Mind in your device settings.
  • Signing out: disconnects your device from your account, and from our analytics, push notification and purchase providers.
  • Waitlist: email us to be removed.

10. Your privacy rights

You can ask us about the information we hold about you at any time by emailing payam@elitemindproject.com. We'll need to confirm that the request comes from you, usually by replying from the email address on your account. We won't charge you for it or treat you differently for asking.

If you're in the EEA or UK

You have the right to:

  • access the personal information we hold about you and get a copy of it,
  • correct information that's inaccurate or incomplete,
  • delete your information,
  • restrict how we use it, or object to our use of it based on legitimate interests,
  • receive it in a portable format, or have it sent to another company,
  • withdraw your consent at any time, where we rely on it, without affecting what we did before you withdrew it.

We'll respond within one month. You also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority. In the UK that's the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk). We'd appreciate the chance to sort out your concern first.

If you're in the United States

Depending on the state you live in (including California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia and other states with consumer privacy laws), you may have the right to:

  • know what personal information we've collected about you and get a copy of it,
  • correct inaccurate information,
  • delete your information,
  • opt out of the sale or sharing of your information for targeted advertising, or of profiling. We don't do any of these, so there's nothing to opt out of.

In the past 12 months we have collected these categories of personal information, from you, your device, your sign-in provider and the app stores, for the business purposes described in section 3: identifiers (such as your name, email address, account ID and IP address), commercial information (your purchases), internet and app activity (how you use the app), approximate location (from your IP address), and account login credentials. We use login credentials only to provide the app. We've disclosed these categories only to the service providers listed in section 5. We haven't sold or shared personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, and we have no actual knowledge of selling or sharing the information of anyone under 16.

You can make a request yourself, or through an authorized agent with your written permission. We'll respond within 45 days. If we decline your request, you can appeal by replying to our decision, and if you disagree with the outcome of the appeal, you can contact your state attorney general.

11. How we protect your information

  • Information is encrypted in transit between the app, our website and our servers, and encrypted at rest by our hosting provider.
  • Your sign-in session on your device is encrypted, with its key held in your device's secure keychain.
  • Access rules in our database ensure each account can only read and change its own information.
  • Audio sessions are kept in private storage and played through short-lived links.
  • Only a small number of authorized Elite Mind staff can access user information, and only to run and support the service.

No method of transmitting or storing information is completely secure, so we can't guarantee absolute security. If we become aware of a breach that affects your personal information, we'll notify you and the relevant authorities as the law requires.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as Elite Mind changes or as the law requires. When we do, we'll change the "Last updated" date at the top. If a change is significant, we'll tell you in the app or by email before it takes effect.

13. Contact us
